29.01.2018

Welcome to the Crane seminar and PhD course with the theme "Animal Assisted Intervention", March 19-23 2018. The following lecturers will appear in the course Dr Aubrey Fine, Prof Marie-Jose Enders-Slegers, Prof Jean-Loup Rault, Ass Prof Ng Zenithson and Senior lecturer Hernrik Lerner.

Animal Assisted Intervention is a goal oriented and structured intervention that intentionally includes or incorporates animals in health, education and human service (e.g., social work) for the purpose of therapeutic gains in humans. It involves people with knowledge of the people and animals involved. Animal assisted interventions incorporate human-animal teams in formal human service such as Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), Animal Assisted Education (AAE) or under certain conditions Animal Assisted Activity (AAA) (from IAHAIO White paper2014).

The aim of this PhD course is to let our invited speakers give a deeper knowledge into their research area and give participants the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other.

Latest registration date: 19th February 2018.
